Beware the following scam email from "Bobijou Inc".
Do not respond to it, or open the attached document. The scam works by tricking the hapless victim into revealing their credit card details when disputing the non existent "order".
"Thank you for ordering from Bobijou Inc.
This message is to inform you that your order has been received and is currently being processed.
Your order reference is 436467.
You will need this in all correspondence.
This receipt is NOT proof of purchase.
We will send a printed invoice by mail to your billing address.
You have chosen to pay by credit card.
Your card will be charged for the amount of 075.00 USD and “Bobijou Inc.” will appear next to the charge on your statement.
You will receive a separate email confirming your order has been despatched.
Your purchase and delivery information appears below in attached file.
Thanks again for shopping at Bobijou Inc"
It seems that you have received "phishing email" message. We are Bobijou Ltd, Registered in England and Wales No. 05610201, never sent you any email nor processed any credit card transaction on your behalf.
ReplyDeleteWe received thousands of calls and e-mails from individuals stating they received an e-mail from the Bobijou Inc confirming an order they never placed. These e-mails are not legitimate order confirmations and have nothing to do with Bobijou.com or Bobijou Ltd.
Your email address were either compromised or harvested by spammers and as a result you've been targeted by a phishing emails designed to trick unsuspecting users into opening an attachment, which contain a Trojan virus OR trick users to reply to this message in which case, user will be asked to provide credit card details in order to track and cancel an order which was never placed.
If you are ever in doubt, please use Online order tracking facility @ https://www.bobijou.com/account/orders/index.html to determine if have an order with Bobijou.com ( you can use phone, e-mail and order number combinations).

If you receive an unsolicited e-mail that appears to be from Bobijou.com that requests personal information (such as your credit card, login, or password), or that asks you to verify or confirm your Bobijou.com account information by clicking on a link, that e-mail was sent by a "phisher" or "spoofer."
Bobijou.com will never ask for this type of information in an e-mail. Do not click on the link. Note that if you did not click on the link in the spoofed e-mail, your account at Bobijou.com is fine. (Even if you did click on the link and go to the forged Web page, but didn't enter anything, the phishers will not have your account information.)
Bobijou.com does not send order confirmations or other unsolicited requests that require you to open attachments. We recommend that you do not open any e-mail attachments from suspicious or unknown sources. If you receive a suspicious e-mail allegedly sent from Bobijou.com that contains an attachment, we recommend you forward the e-mail to reportphishing@antiphishing.org
OR copy both the message HEADER AND message BODY and submit via web form at: http://www.antiphishing.org/report_phishing.htm without opening it. Delete the mail after you send it. If you opened an attachment in the e-mail, we recommend running anti-virus or anti-malware software.

Received an email with these exact words today. Didn't open the attachment...and will now block and delete!
